Year after year, thousands of events take place to celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science across the globe. Every event is unique in its own way, and as diverse and creative as the people and organizations involved.
The International Day of Women and Girls in Science major events are held on 11 February each year. United by a common theme and campaigns, Equality in Science, events involve and inspire thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds.
Registration is open from 10 December 2021 to 14 January 2022.
The program of events, or activities organized outside the formal program of the 7th International Day of Women and Girls in Science Assembly, provides an excellent opportunity for Member States, UN entities and NGOs to discuss themes of the Assembly and other critical gender equality in science issues.
